During my week off, Chicken filled in for a day counting down her Top 5 Favorite "Awesomes," inspiring today's post. Excerpt:
3. Jazz hands. Sure every Tom, Dick, or Harry can do the peace sign in photos. Some average Joe’s might think they are tricking it up a little by sneaking in a little flip of the bird. But honestly, what says character like good old fashioned jazz hands? It’s like you’re telling a story about yourself by simply flaring out a few fingers!
See, I have a problem with flashing the jazz hands in photos. Maybe problem is the wrong word since jazz hands definitely qualify as awesome. Let's call it my go to "goofy" move. Not until I went back to look for a picture, did I realize how I often I use it. Don't believe me? Here's the proof in reverse chronological order, dating back 2 years. I even used unflattering pics, just to get my point across:

I'm hoping this will inspire all of you to pull out the jazz hands from time to time! If you want to go all professional with the move, give the hands a little shake (not visible in pictures). Try it, it's fun!

I just realized that my husband flashes jazz hands, too. If you and he ever took a picture together it would be full of jazz.
I do this all the time but it's always a wave rather than an actual jazz hand. But this weekend at disney I totally did jazz hands JUST for you and chicken! I need to post them!
This was totally worth the wait! Your jazz hands are inspiring. Awesome indeed. By the number of photos included here I vote that we change it from Jazz Hands to Hutch Hands? I'll get the petition ready for signing this afternoon.

lol jazz hands are great. definitely most effective when the shake is captured. clearly more videos need to be taken :)
I love this! I am going to have to figure out how to do jazz hands in all of my photos from now on!
6th sense strikes again... I taught my class jazz hands yesterday to wake them up. Picture 7 rather large men between the ages of 17-22 all standing up doing jazz hands and spirit fingers... quite a site!! :)
