Luckily, CSN recently asked me to do a product review! While I would love to review something like this Eames Lounge chair, the space in the new place is limited (sorry friends, you'll have to come over in phases). Instead, this next week will be spent cooking with everything Vladeraptor owns that I don't and then I'll decide.
I already know what I will miss most about the house:

New kitchen:
| There is no left side, yet still bigger than the NYC apt kitchen! |
Can we all take a moment of silence please...

Congrats on the new place! I often wondered if I would love living alone and having my own place... to be honest I bet for a bit I would.. for all the reasons you described!
Oooooh, that is sad to lose such a great kitchen. It will be hard to adjust to the new one. But knowing you can waltz in there naked should help a tad with that... right? :)
I hate the act of physically moving. But once you are in, it's exciting and fun. Sads about the kitchen but think of all the fun you will have peeing and dancing.
I know how you feel! My aunt's kitchen in amazeballs and I will very sad when I move. I think I'll miss the full-size double oven most.
Oh, it would be hard to lose that kitchen! But, exciting to be on your own.
Having lived with the tiniest of kitchens for the last 10 years, if I had (even just the left side) that kitchen, I don't think I could ever leave.
Having said that, I'm sure a little privacy will be nice
Our kitchen in the house is pretty small still compared to other kitchens, but we make do, but the one in our apartment was even worse. It was like one big room. But it's not the size of the kitchen, it's what you do with it (TWSS)
Yay for your own space but boo to a tiny kitchen! Let us know what you pick from csn!
Always nice to have something of your own
We have a lot of kitchen stuff....and I don't use any of it! Ok, that's not entirely true, but my husband is def the cook, not me. Good luck with the move. I always like moving into a new place and getting things all set up just how I like them.
But it looks nice! I don't know...I'm just jealous cuz I never had my own place and acted like a real grown up.
That kitchen is AMAZING. Totally to die for!
Though it sounds like you place a fair amount of weight in the naked freedom, so AMEN for that! :)
The freedom of being alone will make up for the small kitchen. Good luck with your move!
Looks awesome! Bigger than ours.
BTW, I am following you on Twitter, Hutch.
I've been super jealous of your kitchen for DAYS when you and Vladeraptor moved in (I believe you posted one somewhere at some point). Your new kitchen really isn't bad....mine's about that size.
Good luck with the move! I'm in the same boat - we move this weekend.
WOW!!!! I'm super jealous of your (soon to be old) kitchen! That's the one thing I wish I had MORE of in my current apartment... I have one of those efficiency kitchens which essentially is just an open area that extends into the living room. But it works.
Best of luck on your move--I hope you'll be happy in your new home! I have to say: there's something to be said about living alone :)
Well this is exciting news. Hutch and her baby melon on their own.
It's been a while since I have been here obvs, I had no idea you had a blog makeover. Don't I feel like an A-Hole.
Your new kitchen is cute too! Good luck with the move!
The loss of kitchen size is a sad, sad thing. This is true. Good luck with the move!
How ironic that with new freedom comes loss of space. Isn't it usually the other way around? I agree that giving up cool kitchen gadgets is painful. I have, more than once, saddled up the car with my stand mixer and hauled it to KY for a long weekend. I don't know how I will fit everything in the Prius when I move up next month. Congrats on the new place, though! How goes the unpacking?
Could you try to reply to this and see if I set my account up right?
