I Was a Senior Hottie - Party Like It's 1999

When Liz asked who wanted to participate in the I'm a Senior Hottie Link Up,
I immediately raised my hand.

"Oh Ohhh me, pick me, please!"

I don't actually look back on high school with longing, and they sure as hell weren't my hottest days (I'd like to think I've yet to peak), but the photos sure were fun to look through!  Not only that, I found a book from after graduation where you fill in facts about Senior Year.  Might be better than the pics!

May 30th, 1999
My Goal in Life is:
To become successful in the film industry (wanted to be on the production side, tried it and wasn't a fan). Marry before I'm 30 (ehhh, X on that) and hopefully have kids before I'm 35 (still a possibility and the name I want for my future daughter hasn't changed). I just want to live a happy, normal life (most definitely happy). I'll drive an Explorer (have an Escape) and live in Santa Barbara (did for 2 years) and will travel to Paris and the Bahamas (had already been to Paris, haven't been to the Bahamas).

I think I did just fine!

You are right - the combination of photos and your senior answers brings it all back with a rush. This is so much fun!

You are indeed pretty awesome. And pretty!

Great pics! Love the fun facts...I forgot about Party of Five the show. Love the shaving cream fight pic. ;)

I love it! And yes you were a hottie back then. I like to think that we all get better looking with age. It's crazy to think that movie tickets were only $2 less back then (at least here in Ohio) but it still seem so expensive. I wanted to be a psychiatrist one day. I think that Purchasing Coordinator for a Computer company is pretty damn far off of that path!

I love that you have that book. Wish I could remember all those details from back in the day.

PS You were gorgeous then and now.

I love all your photos so much. Especially the ones with trees and grass. I was also very in to all those tv shows...not so much 98 degrees though. And I do remember gas being 99 cents. I used to always only get $5 of gas every time I went to the gas station in high school. And that seemed to last for a long time.

Love that you kept a record of what you wanted to do when you grew up and the things you loved at that time. How fun to look back on it.
The pics - awesome!

It's fun to figure out when everyone graduated based on the popular songs, artists, and TV shows of the time. You? Seem so young compared to when I graduated! ;) It's amazing how much the world changed between the beginning of the 90's and the end.

Loved looking at your pics and answers to all your senior book questions!

I think we may have had the same book!

Great pictures :)

I graduated in '98 and YM was my bible. I was also more of a Pacey fan than a Dawson fan.
Great Post!

Um, shut up cause you are a senior hottie! Love your pictures. I also was a 98 degrees fan, but I'm sure that's a big DUH from you.

You were adorable!
And I am so impressed that you have at least tried your hand at so many of your goals!
My future goal in my yearbook was to be on SNL - the closet I got was the NBC studio tour at 30 Rock...

This is awesome!! Made me flashback to my senior year. I graduated in '98 so all your answers were similar to what mind would have been. I'm loving the pic by the tree...is that some sort of marching band uniform?

So I've read some awesome stuff on this blog before, but nothing brings back the high school awesome like Blink 182.

We had a lot of the same favorites back then! Team Pacey all the way.

All your lists of faves and whatnot just make this THAT much more #ALLCAPSAWESOME

Don't you miss those gas prices?

You not having bangs puts you one step ahead of the rest of us. You really were a hottie!

Shana said...

Love your pics. I have a list similar to yours shoved in the back of my yearbook. I like to pull it out once in a while and giggle over the things we loved then.

Oh...and I also fondly remember $.99 gas. Ah...the good old days.

Cindi said...

You were so cute. Those were good days. The gas prices were awesome.

Shell said...

How cute were(are) you!

KLZ said...

I almost died at your gas priced. 1999 is not that long ago but - wow!

Katie said...

Ah, back in the day! I remember you back then! :-) Although I can't make out your prom date.....I know you blocked his face for a reason, but I thought I could figure it out.

PS - You're hot now, as you were back then. I'd kill for your figure.

hahah this is great :) although, nothing would get me to dig out my high school stuff right now. those were scary days ;)

Loved the list of stuff you wrote down right after senior year. I can't believe you still have all of that.

blueviolet said...

Ok, every single picture is CUTE!!! I'm loving that your list is well underway on completion. :)

I was JUST telling the boys about how cheap gas prices used to be. I remember when it was .75 the year I started driving & it was a big deal when it jumped to a $1/gallon.
How awesome would it be if it was that price now?

Suniverse said...

What a great list. I do love the Saving Private Ryan / American Pie dichotomy. I think it completely encapsulates the 90s.

Cute pics!

I love how you posted all those facts from the year you graduated (like the price of a gallon of gas!!!!!) Our colors were blue & gold as well...so our cap & gowns matched yours!

Crazy Shenanigans-JMO said...

Heck yes! I use to be down with all those shows, movies and definitely that price of gas!!! It was so cheap back then!

Julie said...

You looked great in your pictures... and the lists, I'm so jealous - I wish I had kept mine!!

(Florida) Girl said...

You were really cute.

And I giggled at the black box on your prom date....to protect the innocent.

Lauren Michelle said...

Dang, you had some nice legs. I wish my legs were long like that. My body shape is weird to me. I have a long torso and short legs. It just looks odd...

Charlotte said...

TOTAL HOTTIE in these pics! Awww, cute!

And Dawson's Creek was one of my favorite shows back then, too :)

Ah young Hutchie Lou...you were so precious!!! I'm a little confused about the pantaloon sleeves on the cheerleading outfit though. Isn't the idea to show MORE flesh? Or maybe that's just how we roll in the K-Y. 1999...I was a junior in college, had already been engaged once, had dropped out of college after I failed Golf, and was following my pot-smoking fiance #2 to Louisville. That's a year that I would like to erase from the books. But '99 was good to you! And congrats on narrowly escaping the 'OO.
