Never Forget

I have a lot of catching up to do and won't be posting much this week,
but I wanted to share easily the #1 highlight of my trip to Stagecoach...

The video doesn't quite capture the true emotions, but 55,000 people chanting U.S.A!?

CHILLS came first, then PRIDE!

We all remember where we were when the horror of 9/11 happened,
the vision of that 2nd plane crashing through the tower will never be erased,
but how about remembering where you were on 5/1/11?

I know I will never forget.

I can't imagine being at a country concert getting this news. Although stereotypical, I think cowboys are the epitome of American. :-) What an amazing moment.

I was at my boyfriend's parents house watching one of the basketball playoff games when the announcer said something about it. We immediately switched channels and were glued to the TV.

I was in my bed and my sister texted me. Maybe not quite the same impact but still pretty intense.

WOW! That gives me chills too!
I was at home and saw a status update on FB that Obama would be doing a breifing at 10:30 on a Sunday night and I thought that was weird so I turned the tv on.
I though, "What if they got Osama??"
And then they did. Which I didn't really think would be it, but it was stunning.

Seeing people cheer and gather in the streets in the night made me very proud to be an American.

You are going to have a way easier time remembering than I will because I was wire wrapping a rosary and watching black and white episodes of "Twilight Zone" on Netflix. VERY uneventful until I checked Facebook. Also, I have a fascination/obsession with the lead singer of Rascal Flats. I like to imagine what he would look like licking nutella from between my toes. So, imagine if he was the one who told me about bin Laden. That could have become really bad. Better that I was here and not there. U-S-A!
