The. End.

I'm going to offer you a stock tip. Invest in Kleenex. Right now (don't worry, not planning to make you cry).

Today marks the end of two series I've loved for years. Harry Potter and Friday Night Lights.

Swimming deep in the River of Denial, FNL will probably sit on my DVR for days, if not weeks, before I can bring myself to watch it.  The "football" show loved by critics and watched by millions hundreds doesn't deserve to end so soon.  Since I can't force the crew/actors to film new episodes and hand deliver them to me via Taylor Kitsch, I will just let it simmer with SYTYCD and PTI.  Maybe I'll take KLZ's approach and watch from the beginning again.  Nothing wrong with delaying the inevitable, right?

sigh

What will not sit on my DVR (at least until it's on TV)?  Harry Potter 7-2: Dealthy Hallows: Part B/2: It All Ends: 7.15.11.  No that's not the full name, it's ALL the names.  I think.  Tickets for the Sunday afternoon showing at IMAX were purchased weeks ago.  In preparation, I re-watched Part 1 last Sunday, stopping right before the death of my most favorite non-major 3 character.  The death is the same reason I can't bring myself to read the book again. Gets. Me. Every. Time.  Holding back these emotions makes me nervous for Sunday.  I know the waterworks are coming, I just hope I'm not the only one walking out after the Ugly Cry.  I have faith Vladeraptor and WCB will be there right along with me.  Maybe the 3D glasses will hide the blotchies for us all.

I'm serious about the Kleenex investment.

Make sure to come back Monday for my 200th post and a HUGE announcement!

Awe now you made me sad thinking about that dead non-major character. RIP. Due to my best friend/Harry Potter Fanatic moving this weekend we haven't nailed down our exact HP7 part deux viewing time but it will be happening soon. We watched part 1 a couple weeks agon in prep. I'm planning on watching FNL on netflix streaming once I finish Party Down. My husband and I are also slowly but surely enjoying season 1 of the West Wing.

You will definitely not be the only one :D I just know already I'm going to cry my eyes out, I'm a sucker for any kind of emotional scene. You should have seen me during the last Lord of the rings, my non emotional friend couldn't stop smirking over my constant weepy face.

I swear for some reason I thought FNL was already over. Huh. Went to see HP Wednesday night at my hubs' theatre, and even for a non-HP-phile, I was impressed.

Not an HP fan. Never read the books, never saw a movie.

I am a fan of FNL. The BF and I have watched it from the first episode. We DVR'd last nights - we missed an episode about three weeks ago and need to watch that before the finale.

We're watching it tonight. I have Kleenex on the ready.

I've been seeing your tweets. The ending of FNL is rocking you girls to the core, it seems.

Hang in there. ;-)

I've seen no less than 5 people talking about for real crying in response to FNL!! Crazy!! It must be good...now with HP, I love it but haven't had time to watch all the movies....so I get to start from scratch.

I didn't cry during HP...but it was tough. I had to choke back the tears at one point. And I'm so sad that it's all over...I think I'm going to have to read the books again.

I cannot wait for harry potter! I've got kleenex handy too! We re-watched Part 1 a couple of weeks ago.

And FNL? I used to LOVE IT. But then it moved over to some cable channel or something and i got lost. But then I just saw it on the other day and decided I need to catch up. I still really love it. :)

We never got into the HP books, but last year the kids and I got hooked on the movies they ran back to back on ABC family. Since I haven't read the books, I was shocked to hear that there was a sad ending! :( We're all looking forward to seeing the movie. Now that we're into the movies, I want to to read the books. They're probably the only movies I've seen without reading the books. It just seems wrong.

I've never seen FNL but I love Harry Potter! I went to the midnight showing and I loved it. I can't believe it's over!

I also loved, and now mourn, Friday night lights. I think Taylor Kitch is one of the hottest men alive. For real. I've recently started watching Parenthood in it's place. It's actually really good. It's done by the same guy and you can see the similarities. There are also some Friday night lights people on it. There's no one near as hot as Taylor Kitch but I do highly recommend it.
